The Sayyid Dynasty (1414–1450 AD)
Khizr Khan (1414–1421)
- Originally appointed as a governor by the Mongol invader Timur, he founded the Sayyid Dynasty by defeating Sultan Daulat Khan and capturing Delhi.
Mubarak Shah & Muhammad Shah (1421–1443)
- Mubarak Shah peacefully succeeded Khizr Khan but was eventually killed by his own nobles; his successor Muhammad Shah was placed on the throne by nobles but wielded almost no real power.
Alam Shah (1443–1451)
- He ascended the throne but proved to be a totally incompetent ruler; he voluntarily retired to Badaun and allowed his minister to invite the Afghans to take over.
